Mixed-Up Monday-Kindergarten will wear mixed-up clothing

Bartholomew and the Oobleck is the featured Dr. Seuss book and will lead into understanding and making predictions, the difference between solids and liquids and the properties of a solution.

February 28

Dr. Seuss Week continues with Top Hat Tuesday

Educational concepts tied into the reading of the featured books The Cat in the Hat and The Cat in the Hat Comes Back include recognizing patterns and writing narratives about ways to spend rainy days. I wonder what the special "Cat in the Hat" snack will look and taste like?

March 1

Dr. Seuss Week continues with Wacky Wednesday

Fox in Socks will be enjoyed by listeners wearing silly socks followed by creating a bar graph depicting students' sock colors.

Dr. Seuss Week concludes with Fun Friday featuring Green Eggs and Ham

Activities include: Eating green eggs and ham for breakfast, wearing red shirts to school, making and wearing Dr. Seuss hats, designing and creating birthday cards for Dr. Seuss, peer reading along visiting 3rd graders, and receiving a special Dr. Seuss ????? (surprise!) as a remembrance of our fun week.

Grand Finale will be a school-wide gathering of students on the basketball court where an enormous depiction of Dr. Seuss will serve as the inspiration for an enthusiastic rendition of Happy Birthday to You honoring the beloved children's author Dr. Seuss.
